Hi I have acquired a superb repro Chassis for the beautyful Ferrari Dino 246/256 Formula 1 from the 1960 era, ( same one as Mike Hawthorn won his F1 Championship with) the craftsmanship is just amazing, not sure what I will do with it, so if anyone has any sugestions ?? or know where I can get some of the parts or bodyshell do let me know or even a body jig so I can make my own, also open to offers if anyone wants to buy. There was two of these Chassis built and one was completed as an original car and sold for several Million £?? but I am sure it cost at least 1 million £ to complete. These cars started out as F2 cars then the F1 regs changed so Ferrari adapted it for F1 and increased the Engine size to 2.5 Ltr the max allowed under the new regs.Sell for £295K or swap for Ferrari or Lamborghine of simlar value or WHY. Last Pic shows a complete car what a beauty.

Also has the unusual Factory option of the Boxer Style Leather Interior, I have never seen another 308 GT4 with this option so justs adds to the rarity.So very very rare model.

The vehicle is a lovely car,Right Hand Drive, Air Conditioned, just had a superb respray in Rosso Corsa,superb Beige" Boxer" style ( Very rare expensive Factory Option) interior in leather and the very very rare Factory option of the Rear shelf instead of the tiny seats (gives more usable stowage space) all new Top Quality Carpets in Light Tan including Boot bound in beige to match seats, (second pair of front floor carpets included for Sunday use ???and also has an aluminum protector where your accelerator foot wears the carpet on Chassis rail ?) also had new exhaust box, front and Rear Exhaust manifolds been sandblasted and painted with High Temp Exhaust Paint Silver,all new Exhaust heat shields in polished Aluminum,super low millage engine , which has only done 46,000 miles from new and runs perfectly, some history,Gearbox is also Perfect as I have driven it around quite a bit,all suspension,Drive Shafts, and all brake calipers and discs just been overhauled and painted so look great, stainless braided flexible brake pipes, shocks and springs also replaced, Recon Water Pump, Water pipes (Aluminum) down center Chassis Tube badly corroded so had to remove Engine and Gearbox unit to replace,also fit all new hoses,and while the engine was out Check on Clutch and renew all oil seals, probably best as now I can realy clean and paint engine bay also clean and service engine this vehicle is supposed to have been owned by Norman Wisdom (The Comedian) so is either well worth the asking Price (as Celebrity owned can only add to Value) also a nice set of period Split Rim Wheels and New Tyres, ( original wheels are also included). I know I started out just going to put it all together so it was an average everyday car, but if you are like me it is very hard, take the suspension to just fit bushes without having all the parts sandblasted and properly Painted, so that is why I am asking a Premium Price, as most people who buy one will pay around £45 to £75 Grand, but then these cars will need lots of work to bring them up to the same level as mine, take the suspension to do this kind of job front and rear would cost around £20 grand so you can see how quickly your price would increase.

Rear suspension just being overhauled and fitted,engine and gear box also back in, I got a nice set of Period Split rim wheels and new 60 profile tyres fitted and realy set the car off, ( I still have the original wheels to go with it if you prefer) so I can at last say I am finished and very pleased with the results, but how many people will give me my asking price of offers over £185,750.00 GBP??? well if you come and have a good look anyone will realize the amount of work that has gone into this project that makes it worth the money, so maybe I will have to add it to my collection.

Hi here we have whats left of my Ferrari Dino 246 GT Right Hand Drive, this car has never been restored ( apart from me trial fitting one right hand sill, most have been restored and some not very well at all as they have just been quickly done to get a good price, but the new owners soon realize and they have to do the job properly which is not cheap especially if you have already paid a top Premium Price ?? ) so all as original.These Cars are now getting very rare in this condition as most have been restored and fetch well over a £750K to £1M AND ARE STILL APPRECIATING, so if you always wanted one then this might be your last chance to grab one of the most desirable of the early production Ferrari, even Enzo was so proud of this car he named it after his Son, I do have the New Log Book ( V5) and registered in my Name since 01/06/1979 ( Number of former Keepers 2 ) and 2 old MOT certificates dated May 1978 and May 1979 this was the last time it was on the road, and has not been on the road since I drove it the 50 miles from London where I bought it, so really was only on the road from 1972 till 1979 and covered 43,000 Miles approx, and has been in storage ever since, I have mainly used it for Patterns for making panels and or spares over the years, I have sold the missing parts over the years when restoring Customers cars, originally was going to restore but as usual after I started to sell the odd bit here and there when I was doing Customers cars and when I was hard up, so all I have left is what you see in the photo the chassis is fine but shell needs restoring, no Engine/Gearbox, doors, ( I have just started to make some new doors as you can see in latest pics) engine lid, Boot lid, bonnet, seats, Glass or dash, never had any crash damage so Chassis is as straight as when it left the Factory, got all the usual rust front lower panel, around headlamps, sills, rear corners and joining center strip where reversing lamp goes, as you can see from Photos, and all the underside of shell has been sprayed with a mix of Diesel and Waxoil for protection and to halt further rusting and to make disassemble a lot easier, chassis still has all the suspension on and most of the brakes, ( one front Brake disc and Master Cylinder missing) the Steering column, rack and Wood rim Steering Wheel are still there, no Steering Lock or Switch, Gear lever and Handbrake is also in place, Wiring Loom is still in place, Radiator and fans also heater boxes as you can see from the front bay photo are also in place, and 5 OE Wheels and Tyres, tyres are old worn ones just for moving about, it can only appreciate, as seen from the latest Auction News the prices are still definitely going up ???, I wonder what it will be worth this time next year or the year after ??, I am in no rush to sell so no silly offers, all I am hoping for is to sell in the next 10 years as I would like to retire by then, this is the best investment I ever made so now it could be yours as there is nothing that beats a Classic Ferrari, so Thanks for looking and any questions or to come and view call me anytime on +44(0)1206 251475 Regards Eddie Walsh
